The Facilities and Engineering Manager is responsible for overall leadership of the University Park facilities, maintenance department,, and engineering projects in our new 1 M sqft facility in University Park, IL. This position reports to the Director of Operations and will supervise approximately 10 employees and all third-party contractors. Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement an effective system to ensure prompt responses for repair and maintenance requests, including appropriate record-keeping for preventative maintenance
Management of advanced technology, including robotics
Plan and supervise contract services for facility repairs and maintenance, including building equipment maintenance contracts and all work performed by outside contractors
Management of R&M costs to budget and identify cost-reduction opportunities
Management of capital engineering projects & capital budget for facility and equipment
All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
2-year technical degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities/maintenance management role
Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements
Knowledge in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine a clear path of action with goals and metrics in all areas of responsibility
Strong communication and leadership skills
Salary: $130,236.32-$195,354.48 annually. A starting salary higher than $130,236.32 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
