Position Description
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for all aspects of a program including P&L, design, development and production delivery in accordance with both company goals and customer expectations. This responsibility includes leading, managing and directing all resources to accomplish program scope as defined by business and customer objectives. A key element of the PM is to effectively integrate the voice of the customer into the program life cycle in an effort to maintain high customer satisfaction while meeting company business plan. The PM will act as the customer primary point of contact and must have excellent management, leadership and communications skills. The resources under direction of the PM will include, but not be limited to, Engineering, Manufacturing, Material management, Finance, Program Planning & Control, Contracts and Quality. The PM should be well versed in industry accepted practices, tools and processes for program management.
The PM must be able to guide the team in the identification of program and technical risks and manage mitigation actions within the boundaries of the program. The PM must be highly skilled in successfully managing development of new technology, products, subsystems and systems with the ability to effectively transition into production. Excellent management and influencing skills, as well as excellent quantitative skills are required, with frequent utilization of tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Office suite and employment of the ERP system. The PM must have ability to understand the technical elements of the program or project sufficient to be able to adequately manage, guide and make decisions that reduce overall technical risk.

Required Experience:
8 + years project management experience with complex electronic systems or equivalent required.
DOD Program Management/EVM experience required
B.S. required, MS or MBA is preferred
PMP Certification is a plus
Well versed in MS Project and MS Office suite, ability to learn and extract data from ERP system
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across functional areas
US citizen / ability to work on U.S. government programs; possession of security clearance is highly desired
Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
Must be able to work on U.S. government programs and/or obtain security clearance in the future.
This position is located 100% onsite at our Black Mountain NC facility.
