RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the program director in recruiting and training direct service staff.

Administer personnel policies and procedures under the guidance of the program director.

Hold monthly supervision meetings with staff supervised.

Develop regular communication with contract managers for programs supervised and act as liaison with funding source.

Ensure all programs meet contractual goals and reporting requirements.

Evaluate all areas of program on an on-going basis to ensure program quality and effectiveness and implementing changes in program design as appropriate.

Work closely with development department to ensure that the program is well-publicized and well- supported.

Ensure staff are maintaining case records, data collection and entry for all program data systems.

Participate in regular check-ins with funder and/or other city agency partners.

Act as liaison with the community including the area community district.

Meet all goals set by funder for Assistant Director position

Perform other job-related duties and assignments as may be requested by supervisors and higher leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of relevant experience in community work or community centered activities.

Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills are essential.

Ability to collect and analyze client demographics and outcome.

Excellent teambuilding and leadership skills.

Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.

Contingency of employment is based upon successful completion of CUNY Personal Finance course requirements and exam has been passed.

Experience in financial capability, asset building, financial services, human/social services, public benefits, community development, and a passion for supporting people with low or moderate incomes to build greater self-sufficiency. Prior experience with financial counseling or coaching programs a plus.

Two (2) years of work experience in a position that required supervisory, management, or comparable leadership responsibilities with adult management.

Passionate leader with engaging customer service personality with strong time management and organizational skills

Self-motivated leader with proven skills building, managing, coaching, and developing staff as well as excellent teamwork skills across functions.

Well-developed marketing skills, including the ability to develop and refine marketing strategies to fit specific program needs.

Ability to manage and work on multiple activities, projects, and accelerations at the same time, effective} rioritizin and executin tasks in a hi h-volume environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.

Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork.

Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.

Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.

Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
