Job Responsibilities:
Lead the MEP QS team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of performance and professional development.
Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans for MEP QS services.
Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets for MEP projects.
Monitor project expenditures and cash flow, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
Manage contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Review and negotiate contract variations and claims, ensuring fair and equitable solutions.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate and timely delivery of MEP services.
Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and stakeholders to foster strong relationships.
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost data and reporting.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of MEP QS processes and documentation.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project costs, forecasts, and financial performance to senior management.
Analyze market trends and pricing to provide insights and recommendations for future projects.
Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in the MEP sector.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years in quantity surveying, focusing on MEP projects. Proven leadership experience in the construction or engineering sectors.
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., MRICS, HKIS) preferred.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction methods. Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., BIM, CostX, Bluebeam) preferrable.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Leadership and Project Management. Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and result orientated.
