Job Summary
The job will involve working with both military and civilian customers on cargo-movement documentation ensuring accuracy. Candidate will accurately expedite cargo data into the Defense Transportation System (DTS) using approved government systems and company shared drives. Candidate will assist in performing Customs and Border Clearance /Agriculture (CBCA) inspection of cargo destined to United States. Candidate will work with tax exoneration of imports and exports concerns. The candidate will review all company task related to safety procedures prior to starting the task
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the development of logistical plans, policies, and procedures necessary to provide support in the logistics areas of supply, transportation, maintenance, and services.
Recommends and coordinates the logistics support structure to perform the logistics functions of the project.
Coordinates the interface between logistics functions such as transportation, maintenance and warehousing to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective support to the customer.
Troubleshoots problem areas in logistics and coordinates problem resolution or recommends solutions to management.
Coordinates with customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management.
Analyses work processes and develops metrics for measurement of performance.
Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate regarding logistical functions performed under contract.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must have familiarization and knowledge with sorting, segregating, inventorying and repacking cargo supplies and mail.
Must have logistics knowledge of documentation verification receipt of cargo supplies, and research.
Additionally, candidates must have physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds.
MS Office Suite
Strong Customer Service Skills
Strong Communication Skills both Verbal and Written
Material Handling Equipment (Forklift up to 10K)
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions/distractions.
Excellent customer relations, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
