The Role
Various Maintenance Shutdowns and Project works
Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities is reduced
Conduct incident investigations and issue findings to project team and management teams as required
Develop, implement and coordinate HSE standards, programs and procedures
Ensure all project activities, process and systems comply with Legislation and Corporate compliance Matrix.
Remain up to date with changes in legislation and apply to applicable company standards, procedures and plans.
Support hazard investigations, ensuring quality and corrective actions address root causes to prevent any reoccurrence
Undertake data analysis to identify emerging trends, conduct of risk assessments, and proposal of risk control strategies
Undertake field observations and inspections of pre-starts, work method statements, authority to work permits (ATWPs), high risk work processes, documentation, equipment/vehicles and work sites in accordance with Civmec’s IMS requirements
Assist with processes to ensure all employees are in a fit state to work and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol i.e. health surveillance and health monitoring
Conduct scheduled internal HSE audits, supporting operations to resolve any resulting corrective actions
Ensure all Incident and near misses are recorded internally (and client systems where applicable)
Support operations to ensure corrective actions developed, assigned and closed out
Promote HSE aspects to the working force including current HSE initiatives
Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
Diploma in OH&S
ICAM or Taproot Certification
Demonstrated Industry experience in similar role
Construction White Card
Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)
Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
