Job Summary:

Accurate Mechanical Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Plumbing Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of commercial plumbing projects from inception to closeout. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and best practices. This role requires the ability to effectively manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Initiation:

Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.

Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

Participate in pre-construction meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.

Project Execution and Management:

Lead and manage project teams, including plumbers, subcontractors, and other personnel.

Coordinate and supervise all on-site plumbing activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.

Manage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs effectively.

Ensure adherence to project schedules and proactively address any delays.

Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality of work, and safety.

Manage and process change orders, RFIs, and other project-related documentation.

Client Communication and Relationship Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding project status, progress, and any potential issues.

Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and future opportunities.

Address client concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.

Financial Management and Reporting:

Track project costs, prepare progress reports, and manage invoicing processes.

Analyze project financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.

Quality Control and Safety:

Ensure all plumbing work is performed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Implement and enforce strict safety protocols on all project sites.

Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all personnel are properly trained and equipped.

Project Closeout:

Oversee project completion, including final inspections, punch lists, and commissioning.

Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.

Manage the project closeout process, including final billing and client sign-off.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial plumbing.

Proven track record of successfully managing commercial plumbing projects of varying sizes and complexities.

Comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and industry standards.

Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

OSHA certification (preferred).

Requirements:

Skills:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD preferred

· HVAC/Plumbing/Hydronic experience preferred but not required

· Construction experience preferred but not required

· Construction Project Management or Engineering Technology Education/Degree from Trade School or College

· Strong Communications and Organizational Skills

· Self Motivation
