Job Title: Full-time Pharmacy Technician

Salary: $73,150 plus superannuation

Duties and Skills:

• Delivering quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information

• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication inventory.

• Prepare and label prescriptions, including over-the-counter medications, in accordance with pharmacy protocols.

• Provide customer service by answering inquiries, offering medication guidance, and advising on the safe use of medications.

• Ensured the storage of drugs and ingredients was in line with industry standards regarding security and temperature constraints

• Updated customer information every week in a computer database to help streamline the prescription ordering system

• Making sure filling stations are kept cleaned, organized and free of prescription drugs

• Delivering medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per the established schedule

• Assisting in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies in appropriate locations

• Inspected drug storage sites, monitored drug supply expiration dates and ensured proper supply levels

• Performed technical processes required to dispense medications to patients

• Assist in ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and maintain a clean, sterilized and organized working environment.

• Manage stock levels, ensuring that medication supplies are ordered and replenished as required.

• Assist with the preparation of medication blister packs and dosage administration aids.

Qualification and Experience:

• Certificate IV in Pharmacy Practice or Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least three years of experience.

• Proven experience in a pharmacy technician role, preferably within Australia.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication names, and dosage forms.

• A customer-oriented approach with a passion for helping others.

• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations in Australia.

Skills:

• Previous experience in managing pharmacy inventory systems.

• Familiarity with pharmacy management software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
