The Littleton Electric Light Department (LELD) is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of First Class Lineworker or a Second Class Lineworker.

Position Overview: Reporting to the General Line Foreman, the selected candidate will be trained to assist in the safe and efficient construction, maintenance, repair, and operation of LELD’s overhead and underground 25 kV electrical distribution system.
Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate: $46.05 – $61.42 (based on classification and experience) Schedule: 4-Day workweek: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM Voluntary overtime available on Fridays, weather permitting Paid time off: 4 floating holidays and 24 hours of personal time upon hire 40 hours of vacation time after 6 months (negotiable for the ideal candidate) 8 paid holidays annually Clothing: Flame-resistant (FR) workwear and safety footwear supplied by LELD Additional: Annual longevity pay (after 5 years of service) Education reimbursement for job-related coursework Representation by IBEW Local 104 (union) Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and for extended periods Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies and trouble calls Mechanically inclined with a strong focus on safety Understanding and adherence to OSHA, NESC, and APPA safety procedures Willingness to relocate within a 30-minute commute of Littleton within 12 months of hire Knowledge of electrical theory and power systems is preferred Ability to obtain the following within 12 months: Massachusetts Class A CDL 1B/2A Hoisting License Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a physical examination and drug screening.
