Job Title: Sterile Processing Instructor (Part-time & Per Diem)

Salary: $18.00- $21.00/hr.

Subject: Sterile Processing

Reporting To: Chante Brown

Mondays & Wed 5pm- 830pm, Tues & Thursday 8am-11:30 am, Saturdays 9am-2:30pm

Overview: Here at Instrumental Sterile Processing Institute, we offer a 6-month sterile processing course that focuses on medical terminology, microbiology, surgical instrumentation, decontamination, and more, utilizing HSPA’s (IAHCSMM) Eighth Edition textbook and workbook. As part of our real-life scenario learning curriculum, we educate our students in a simulated sterile processing learning environment to prepare them for career related experiences. Instructors will provide their industry expertise and knowledge to teach students the material provided by ISPI. Substitute Instructors are ancillary personnel who will step in when primary instructors are unavailable due to illness or vacation.

Job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Able to work flexible schedule

Demonstrate skills and or knowledge in teaching discipline, medical terminology, microbiology, surgical instrumentation, decontamination, and more.

Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative methods, techniques and delivery methods.

Plan, develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives and are appropriate for students with different educational and experimental backgrounds and learning styles.

Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of course objectives and inform them of their progress in the class.

Keep accurate student records, and submit related reports or forms

Requirements

High School graduate or G.E.D Diploma

3-5 Years Of Progressive experience in Central Service environment

Certified through HSPA or CBSPD
