We are in search of a 1st shift CNC Programmer that is self-motivated and able to accomplish a high level of work without supervision to produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes.
Responsibilities:Ability to make edits and prove programsCNC programming at the controlsSolid understanding of G-Code/M-CodeAbility to read drawings/blueprintsSelection of cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates according to machine capabilities and work holdingSelf- motivated with strong attention to detailCommunicate all defects and scrapNotify supervisor of any problems in manufacturing product or safety issuesShop math skills- geometry and trigAbility to communicate effectively and work cooperativelyUse of PPE (personal protective equipment) and safe lifting techniquesUtilize CAM programming software to create and optimize CNC programsSet up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to engineering drawingsPerform quality checks using bore gauges, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines, and other precision toolsTroubleshoot and adjust machine settings to ensure proper functionalityCollaborate with engineers and designers to interpret blueprints and specificationsExperience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredProficiency in CNC programming and operationKnowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processesFamiliarity with CATIA or similar CAD/CAM softwareExperience with G-Code/M-Code requiredExperience with Fanuc Controls is requiredPrevious experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is required (5+ years)Shift Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-FridayPay Rate: $22-23/Hour, Based on Experience #IND2
