Flight Lead
Join CAE’s team based in Spain, Malaga as a flight lead responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the Flight Instructor team, ensuring optimum productivity and a seamless student experience. The role involves supporting the Training Manager, advising on improvements, and maintaining operational standards
In this role as flight lead you will be expected to:
Induction and onboarding of new Flight Instructors.
Providing feedback on probation and participating in the CAE+me process.
Identifying training needs and managing underperformance.
Collaborating with other FTOs for CAA, EASA and ISI audits.
Completing relevant examination courses.
Contributing to the Flight Safety agenda and promote the CAE “just culture” working in tandem with the Safety Officer
Liaising with the Flight Ops Management team.
Maintain oversight of all flight training in CAE Spain.
Supervising daily operations
Work in tandem with partner’s Planning department to ensure the optimization of the daily schedule for CAE cadets
Manage the daily prioritization of CAE cadets on the daily schedule
Act as first and main point of contact for all training delivery matters to maintain student experience quality.
Work in tandem with the local CAE customer service representative
Writing and developing training materials.
Performing administrative duties as required.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training phases.
Monitoring and reporting student progress and performance
Assisting with the training and onboarding of new instructors.
Reporting and escalating performance issues of Instructors.
Our ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Preferable airline experience and teaching within a large flight academy.
Must hold current EASA licenses (Medical Class 1, CPL with Multi-engine & Instrument rating, Flight Instructor with Multi-Engine Instructor rating, and MPLI).
UK CAA licences with Flight Instructor and FIC preferable.
Minimum flight hours required for different categories.
Local position with openness to travel across the network.
Excellent in English, with a second relevant language being a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Innovative and agile leadership abilities.
High energy level, team player, and decisive thinker.
