A full-time Director, Global Operations position is available immediately in the companys office in Herndon, Virginia and reporting to the Managing Director at Travel Cue Management LLC.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director, Global Operations will have the following specific job responsibilities:

(1) Implement the strategic direction and policies that the Managing Director establishes for the Global Operations department;

(2) Supervise the activities of the subordinate employees, and conduct regular performance reviews to provide feedback and evaluations;

(3) Assign clients to the subordinate employees in order to ensure that employees have balanced workloads and clients can receive timely service;

(4) Recruit and hire employees to populate the departmental structure established by the Managing Director;

(5) Establish and implement a quality control system within the company;

(6) Conduct human resources activities such as training, payroll, labor relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits, ensuring that all such activities are aligned with the strategic goals established by the Managing Director;

(7) Develop and implement training programs for employees, including on how to use software tools such as Rezcue, Amadeus, and Sabre;

(8) Collaborate with the Business Development department to develop marketing strategies, and manage and integrate suppliers in the United States into a larger network by working along with the Supplier Management of Travel Cue Group;

(9) Oversee the disbursement of the departmental budget, as provided by the Managing Director and the Finance Department, to ensure that the Global Operations department puts its resources to efficient and effective use;

(10) Monitor business needs, market conditions, customer demands, and applicable laws and regulations, and update operational methods in response to changes in those areas;

(11) Provide the Managing Director and other upper management with detailed reports on the operations, business development, and progress of the Global Operations department; and

(12) Represent the company at meetings, conventions, and events within the United States.

Work Hours:9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated professional employment experience in overseeing operations and employee performance within a travel management company operating on a global scale.

Required employment experience must include the following:

(1) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in performing and overseeing customer service operations of a travel management company operating on a global scale;

(2) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in ensuring compliance with the internal policies and strategies of a travel management company operating on a global scale;

(3) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in managing travel solutions and services including corporate air travel reservations and ticketing, mobilization of crew and project staff, accommodation reservations and land arrangements, and travel insurance;

(4) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in recruiting and hiring for positions in the travel industry;

(5) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in representing a company/organization during industry events or client meetings;

(6) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in training new employees in travel industry methods, tools, and best practices; and

(7) A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in supervising and evaluating the performance of junior employees in the travel field.

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related business field (foreign equivalent is acceptable)
