Company background Uganda Tea Corporation has been a leading tea producer and exporter in Uganda for the last 20 years.
It has three estates with its headquarters at Kasaku near Lugazi.
Kasaku is about 48km from Kampala and 40km from Jinja.
Job Identification.
Duty station: Kasaku Estate Job type: Full-Time Job Reporting to: Chief Accountant.
Job specification Assess the company’s procurement needs, coordinate, consolidate, and align the procurement plan to the budget in line with the finance policies.
Validate all procurement requisitions for completeness, appropriateness, and compliance in line with the company's finance guidelines.
Solicit for potential suppliers, monitor, and manage contracts signed by UTCL with the different suppliers in line with relevant policies.
Coordinate procurement done locally and supervise the related logistical and warehousing issues.
Document, review, and maintain up-to-date procurement records.
Maintaining re-order levels and distribution of materials/ inventory requisitioned by the respective departments.
Prepare periodic reports and accountabilities on all procurement activities.
Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
Candidate specification Educational requirements: At least a diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management, accounting, and finance.
Work experience: No experience is needed.
Required skills Strong communication skills, ability to work independently as part of a team, should have a fair command of the English language, interpersonal skills, public relations skills, and leadership skills.
