Title: Market Executive, Western Region

Job Summary: The Market Executive, Western Region will lead the operational and financial performance of branches within a designated district for a $2 billion credit union. This role is responsible for driving growth, managing profitability, and ensuring an exceptional member experience across the district. The Market Executive, Western Region will oversee branch operations, sales and service strategies, financial planning, and community engagement efforts, while also fostering relationships with key business, government, and community leaders.

All job positions at 7 17 Credit Union may be assigned further duties with or without notice, verbally or in writing. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Primary Duties:

Operations Management

Oversee daily operations of branches within the district, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.

Supervise, mentor, and develop Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers to maintain high standards of service and performance.

Ensure proper staffing levels and manage hiring within the district.

Sales & Service Leadership

Lead sales and service training for Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers, equipping them to train their teams.

Develop and execute strategies to drive membership growth, deposit growth (including optimal deposit mix), and lending (consumer, mortgage, commercial).

Promote wealth management, insurance, business banking, and commercial lending services.

Financial Performance & Budgeting

Own financial performance for the district, focusing on branch profitability, including budget development and management of operating, fixed asset, and capital expenditures.

Analyze financial metrics, including ALCO and deposit pricing, to optimize financial outcomes for the district.

Marketing & Product Sales Support

Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate campaigns that align with district goals, driving product sales and service initiatives.

Business Development

Partner with the Business Development team to expand and maintain SEG (Select Employee Group) and Workplace Partner relationships.

Serve as a primary point-of-contact for these partners, collaborating with relevant branch managers and business development representatives.

Member Experience

Oversee member satisfaction across branches, addressing and resolving member concerns and escalation issues within the district.

Community Engagement

Act as the credit union’s representative in the community, attending local events, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting the credit union’s community-focused initiatives.

Commercial Lending Leadership

Serve as the main contact for commercial lending opportunities, meeting with clients to assess business lending needs for loans over $1 million.

Coordinate with the Small Business Lending team for loans below $1 million and make appropriate referrals.

Works to establish relationships with small businesses within the market, promoting small business banking solutions such as merchant services, business checking, money market, business credit cards and lines of credit.

Government & Public Relations

Liaise with local elected officials and community leaders in collaboration with the Executive Director of Governmental Affairs.

Represent the credit union in local development projects, community festivals, and public-private partnerships.

Act as the point-of-contact for government-related SEGs and any related financial programs.

This position manages the following jobs: Branch Managers in Portage and Stark Counties

Qualifications

Prerequisite Education: Minimum of 10 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 5 years in a management role.

Other Prerequisite Requirements of the position:

Prior experience in branch management and operations is required.

Strong understanding of financial operations, budgeting, and profitability metrics.

Proven experience in business development and community engagement.

Strong public speaking and presentation skills preferred.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community leaders, business stakeholders, and government officials.
