Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Bends Production Operator is responsible for the effective coordination of producing the Bends scheduled orders released by the production scheduler and efficiently producing on time deliveries of the Bend production orders at the Mateenbar plant. They are responsible for inventory control of the consumable materials needed, cleanliness, and documentation of the completed production, and being accountable of maintaining the necessary work tools needed to perform the job to the highest quality standard. The Bends production operator is required to ensure the necessary levels of the needed supplies are ready before starting the work shift to ensure the production output is achievable or coordinating with the supervisor to replenish such supplies. They are to report to the supervisor or maintenance on any equipment not working to optimal performance, and immediately report to the appropriate safety or management personnel if any safety concerns are present before the operation or equipment or work area hazards present.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, Maintain, and update the best practices of the Bends Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure proper set-up of equipment and processes
Monitor Resin and Glass Material consumption during daily production and replenish as needed
Operate Industrial Bends equipment as required according to the set-up and run sheet parameters
Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and materials management daily with before and end of shift handoff
Ensure items are received and set in the proper location, able to keep tooling clean and organized
Accurately document all daily production and scrap accordingly
Completes and documents all quality and process checks at identified cadence
Assist in maintaining 5S boards of all tools at beginning and end of shift
Identify and locate parts needed for changeover before job running is completed
Effectively and safely uses all general tools (not requiring specialized training, as needed, to perform the job)
Helps identify process problems and seeks solutions in a teamwork-oriented approach
ability to start, shutdown and clean production line according to company standards
Maintains communication with Shift Supervisors with regard to production status.
Communicates to Supply Chain Leader any issues or delays shipment schedule
Completes other duties assigned by supervision as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to multitask
6 months to 1 year working in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
