Physics Research Assistant

Concordia University Wisconsin seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Physics beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year at Mequon, WI campus.

This position is in the Department of Natural Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences.

The department offers undergraduate majors in biology, biomedical sciences, chemistry, and environmental studies.

CUW is a Christian University (LCMS) that emphasizes the integration of faith and learning in all areas.

Academic responsibilities will include teaching introductory algebra- and calculus-based physics courses and upper-level courses designed for students minoring in physics.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest in developing an undergraduate research program to augment science offerings in biological sciences, chemistry, and/or a variety of pre-health programs offered at CUW.

Additional responsibilities include committee work, advising, and department development.

Education and ExperienceA doctorate in physics or a closely related field is preferred, although highly qualified applicants possessing significant progress (ABD) toward a doctorate will be considered.

Prior teaching experience is desirable.

Compensation and BenefitsThis is a full-time, faculty, exempt position.
