Purpose: Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, the BD Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that client relationships are our top priority. We’re looking for a dedicated and personable business development/account manager to maintain client accounts and serve as our main point of contact. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service. Applicants should also be proficient with the Microsoft suite, CRM best practices, and other productivity software.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the main point of contact in many matters related to client concerns and needs

Balancing and utilizing the other relationships that are in play with each account/contact

Collaborating with current KE team, build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships

Ability to develop Key Account Action Plans to determine how to grow existing services but also introducing additional services to account base. Ability to plan and execute strategic actions to grow the business.

Develop a deep understanding of key account decision makers and business practices. Leverage this knowledge to drive KE decision making and resource planning.

Engage key account decision makers to better understand work outlooks and potential targets.

Ability to plan and execute strategic actions to grow the business.

Qualify new customers that fit KE business model

Collaborate with KE Team to establish targets 1-2-3 years out.

Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients.

Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs.

Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with accounts as appropriate.

Maintain accurate CRM records, keeping track of any account, customer, opportunity data

Able to bring back success stories to Marketing to use to strengthen the KE brand

Stay on top of accounts, making sure they receive responses that meet their needs and driving the right business for KE

Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business

Working closely with the CRM system keeping records up to date

Manage multiple complicated tasks and achieve a high level of execution

Remain engaged with estimating, preconstruction and operations throughout the duration of awarded projects

Flourish with minimal guidance while being proactive and handling uncertainty

Maintain understanding of technology and/or equipment and the impact to KE and KE’s customers business

Understand the trade show circuit and develop a plan to maximize value at shows we chose to attend and lead trade shows and events as required

Assist with tradeshow setup and prep, as needed

This position is eligible for up to a 20% bonus of base salary based on KPI's as follows:

Relationship ratings of PM/CMs – tight collaboration

Measurement: 1-10 survey from PM/CMs Relationship ratings with accounts and contacts

Measurement: 1-10 survey from accounts/contacts

Account performance:

Measurement: growth in relationship (as measured above) as well as revenue and services growth for existing accounts and new accounts

Key Account Action Plans used and implemented with tangible actions – strategic and action-based selling

Measurement: 1-10 scoring on the quality of the (dynamic) KAAPs and associated actions

Dedication to CRM usage and having dependable forecast data on accounts

Measurement: Keeping information up to date; primarily not going beyond Est Close Date by more than 2 weeks. Scheduling “next steps” for opportunities driving opportunities to closed.

Qualifications:

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

5+ years client management experience

Position will require up to 50% travel to engage with customers as needed

Experience with performance guarantees, contracts, and program management

Client facing experience highly preferred

Project management experience preferred

Business analysis and consulting experience a plus

Familiarity with Action Selling

Familiarity with CRM systems

Problem solving and consultative skills

Persuasive & influential communication skills

Ability to deal with varying levels of stress.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.

Must be able and willing to travel.
