Position Summary: This technical, full-time position focuses on the importance of Controls and Instrumentation Hardware within our solutions. The Product Manager, Controls and Instrumentation would be involved in all-things hardware including hardware product strategy, lifecycle, customer demonstrations, and selling practices which translate into project sales. The Product Manager acts as the strategic marketing expert for the Hardware working to create price points, train the Regional Accounts Managers (RAMs) and deliver key business results. The Product Manager would work alongside Kahler RAMs and the Software Product Manager to build a product roadmap and relationships with strategic key customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales and Market Development
Collaborate with VP of Business Development, Marketing Manager, and CEO on product pricing, promotions, advertising, and new product introductions.
Strategize with VP of Business Development and train the Regional Accounts Managers on consultative selling of the hardware products, including sales approach for needs-discovery and presentation of products as solutions to accomplish customer goals.
Create and deliver confident and accurate presentations to customers, partners, and management.
Product Planning
Define product vision, roadmap, growth opportunities, and business plan supporting investment in the product.
Research and analyze market, users, partners, and competitors.
Analyze sales trends, manage sales forecasts, and identify adjacent market opportunities for standard hardware solutions.
Roadmap Execution
Create, refine, and prioritize stories in backlog to ensure that work focuses on those that maximize value and aligns with product strategies
Lead release and new product development planning, participate in daily stand-up with the development team, and evaluate whether completed hardware meets acceptance criteria.
Product Expertise
Provide expertise and market intelligence in process controls including PLC based control panels, HMIs, connectivity solutions, motor controls, pump and conveying systems.
Provide expertise and market intelligence in process instrumentation including scales, volumetric and mass flow meters, pressure and level sensors, and other process sensors.
Provide 3rd level support for Kahler Field and Support Technicians to troubleshoot customer issues.
Review user and technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency with product capability and operation.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 5 + years of related experience and/or training in product management, hardware engineering, strategic marketing, or sales.
Travel: Able to travel up to 35%. Customer visits may be required with overnight stays. Travel may be throughout North America by automobile, commercial airplane, and company airplane.
