IT Program Manager â Data Visualization & Reporting

We are seeking a highly analytical and visually driven IT Program Manager to lead programs with a strong emphasis on data visualization, reporting, and executive-level communications. The ideal candidate will be fluent in tools like Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint, and will be responsible for shaping the narrative around key initiatives through compelling data stories, automated dashboards, and performance insights.

This position will act as the connective tissue between program execution and executive decision-makingâ translating data into strategic visuals, driving transparency, and surfacing the right insights at the right timet.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage high-visibility IT or business programs focused on KPIs, operational health, and performance tracking.

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboardsâ including data models, DAX calculations, and interactive visuals.

Build advanced Excel reports with automation using Power Query, pivot tables, and macros/VBA as needed.

Create polished, visually effective PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership to support business reviews, steering committee updates, and board-level reporting.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators and align reporting outputs with business goals.

Identify opportunities to automate manual data processes, integrate disparate data sources, and improve reporting workflows.

Act as a liaison between IT, business units, and leadership to ensure data-driven decisions are supported through reliable reporting infrastructure.

Monitor program performance, risk, and budget using both traditional PM tools and custom-built analytics.

Qualifications:

Bachelorâ s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

7+ years of experience in IT Program Management, Business Intelligence, or Data-Driven Portfolio Management.

Proven expertise in Power BIâ including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excelâ including Power Query, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and automation techniques.

Strong experience designing and delivering high-impact PowerPoint decks to executive audiences.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear, concise, and persuasive messages.

Strong understanding of program metrics, KPIs, and data storytelling best practices.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with stakeholders across business and technology functions.

Preferred Qualifications

Power BI or Microsoft certifications a plus (PL-300, etc.).

Familiarity with SQL, data warehouses, or cloud data sources (e.g., Azure, Snowflake).

Experience working in a highly regulated industry (utilities, financial services, healthcare).

Background in business analysis, FP&A, or corporate strategy is a plus.
