Job Description

This is an ongoing job ad for a Defense Contractor seeking experienced machinists for a fast-paced production environment. We are currently looking for day shift and night shift CNC Machinists.

We are an established company with more than 40 years of business in manufacturing for the defense industry. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skill set. The day shift position is Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:30 PM. The night shift position is Monday - Thursday, 2:30PM - 1:00AM. Candidates with proven experience working with larger parts preferred, and deference will be given to candidates with both lathe and mill experience. Relocation assistance may be available for this position.

Sign-on bonus of $1000 available for qualified candidates, after 90 days of employment.

Good candidates possess the following skills:

Experience working with and handling parts of larger size

Able to read and interpret drawings

Understand tolerances, what tools to use and how to read them

Be proficient at setting up and running CNC mills and/or lathes

Have an eye for efficiency and process improvement

Good communication skills and works well with others

Incredible attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

Experience with hard to machine alloys (Monel, Inconel, Stainless)

Experience with cellular manufacturing concepts

Benefits:

Vacation: 80 hours per year, accrued bi-weekly (40 hours of PTO available after 90 days), plus additional hours for your birthday and floating holidays.

Vision: Eligible after 30+ calendar days ($0 payroll deduction for vision insurance, so you are only responsible for costs not covered by the plan).

Schedule:

10 hour shift

Monday through Thursday (3-day weekend)
