Description:

As an insert operator, the primary responsibility is to operate high-speed machines that insert materials, such as documents or inserts, into envelopes or folders. Feed materials into the equipment, make minor adjustments, and ensure the quality and accuracy of the output. This position also maintains equipment, maintains a clean work area, and adheres to safety procedures. Key responsibilities of an insert operator include:

Operating insertion machines by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines to handle different types of mail or inserts.

Feeding materials by loading inserts, envelopes, and other materials into the machine in a specific order.

Quality control the machines by inspecting the output to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper alignment of documents within envelopes or folders.

Equipment maintenance by assisting with general cleaning and maintaining the equipment and work area.

Meet deadlines by ensuring production targets and deadlines are met.

Follow procedures by adhering to standard operating procedures, quality test methods, and quality assurance processes.

Communicate concerns about finishing, quality, or equipment performance to appropriate personnel.

Maintain security and confidentiality by following established procedures to maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive documents.

Perform any other tasks deemed necessary to support the smooth operation of the mail processing department.Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in mail processing or related fields is advantageous.

Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to handling critical mail and adherence to company quality standards and procedures.

Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more) and lift up to 35 lbs.

Flexibility to work required hours, especially during peak production times.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration within the team.

Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during machine operation.

Being meticulous in ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks performed.

Full-time
