Reports To: Health Services Lead, Health Services Coordinator and Guest Services Manager

The Health Specialist is responsible to assist the Health Services Lead in the day-to-day operations of Health Services caring for the needs of campers and staff. The Health Services Specialist is responsible for communication with parents of campers as needed.

Key Job Functions

Assist with daily organization and distribution of camper medications.

Responsible to care for and effectively problem-solve camper and staff health and physical needs.

Reach out and inform parents regarding to camper health concerns when deemed necessary and appropriate.

Assist camp volunteer medical professionals with daily tasks.

Ability to be available for on-call rotation to respond to staff and camper emergencies.

Complete other duties as assigned by the Health Services Lead, Health Services Coordinator and Guest Services Manager.

Secondary Job Functions

Participate in a variety of guest group specific tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for guest groups during the summer.

Participate in a variety of tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for families during the summer. Requirements:

Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Degree in related field preferred.

Prior medical and/or health services experience preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, bend, and twist.

Ability to push and pull loads.

Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance.

Good hand-eye coordination.
