Flyspace Productions is a full service, woman owned event management and production company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We produce some of the largest festivals and live events in the region, in addition to numerous private, corporate, and community events. We provide our clients with support from a full-service, in-house production av and exceptional expertise in event production and design, event planning, brand activations, and fine art installation.

Our team is expanding and we are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Operations Department. Warehouse Associates are versatile, entry-level professionals who support the preparation and organization of our equipment for shows and projects across the region. This role is a full-time, non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime. The starting salary for this position starts at $18 per hour and is eligible for benefits such as healthcare, 401(k) with company contributions, paid time off and more. A successful candidate will have had previous shop or warehouse experience, familiarity with AV equipment (audio, lighting, and video gear), can operate a forklift or be willing to learn, and can drive our trucks as needed. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skillset with opportunities to work in the field on shows and projects leading to future growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with receiving, organizing, and staging inventory and equipment for projects.

Participate in loading and unloading vehicles or trailers, ensuring proper documentation and handling.

Perform basic maintenance or cleaning of equipment and tools under supervision.

Assist with real-time problem-solving during operations, escalating challenges to Supervisors or Technicians as needed.

Perform inspections of equipment before and after use, reporting any damage or irregularities.

Make deliveries or pick ups using company vehicles and operate other equipment such as forklifts, material handlers, dock equipment, or lifts as needed.

Assist in keeping workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Adhere to all safety protocols, organizational policies, and procedures during operations.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and encourage safe practices among peers

Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals while actively learning from more experienced team members to develop technical and operational skills.

Foster a positive and supportive team environment, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in a technical, operational, or event production role

Familiarity with production AV such as audio, video, lighting, or staging preferred

Ability to drive up to a 26 foot straight truck, tow up to a 20 foot trailer, or drive a van, truck, or pick up truck; ability to drive a tractor-trailer a plus (CDL-A)

Valid drivers license with a clean motor vehicle record and the ability to obtain a DOT medical certification

Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and a strong work ethic

Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently on individual projects or contribute to a team

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to follow a process or procedure

Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to various tasks

Ability to act as a team leader as needed

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Ability to understand and communicate in English; to use hands, fingers, or push buttons; to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time; to lift, climb, carry, push, or pull; and to operate a computer or smart phone device

Must be over 18

Must be legally permitted to work for this employer in the US
