Cyber Security Engineer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry. This role is based in Houston, Texas, 77002, United States. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be tasked with safeguarding our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You will also be involved in maintaining security tools, conducting risk assessments, and upholding compliance with security policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular risk analyses and vulnerability assessments

• Monitor network traffic and system alerts to identify potential security threats

• Investigate and respond to security incidents such as malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access

• Assist with the maintenance and configuration of security tools including firewalls, antivirus software, SIEM systems, and endpoint protection

• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and updates

• Document incidents and create reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Aid in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices

• Stay informed about current cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.• Proficiency in Checkpoint is a must for this role.

• Strong working knowledge of Cisco ASA is required.

• Familiarity with various Cisco Technologies is necessary.

• Experience with Cloud Technologies is essential.

• Must have a deep understanding of Firewall Technologies.

• Proficiency in AB Testing is highly desirable.

• Prior experience in Auditing is needed.

• Must be well-versed in AWS Technologies.

• Configuration Management skills are required for this role.

• The candidate should have a strong background in Cyber Security.
