Job Description
Minimum requirements: High school diploma, CDA, or an associate degree in early childhood preferred. MUST OBTAIN CDA WITHIN 4 MONTHS OF HIRE.
Must Know State of Ohio child care licensing rules and regulations/step-up the quality (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Good communication skills & Able to develop and implement a lesson plan with age appropriate activities using Creative Curriculum and teaching Strategies Gold/Cloud, able to know developmental levels of children
· Must Keep classroom neat, clean, and organized.
· Dependability a must, a team player, able to work under pressure at times, ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. General knowledge of computer and Microsoft word and excel program
· Ability to adjust to changes and be flexible when needed
· MUST HAVE AN OCCRA OPIN and finish Ohio's Approach to Quality and Ohio's Overview of Child Development online training within a month from hire. Obtain trainings in child abuse, cpr/first aid, and communicable diseases if you do not already have these trainings.
Be the primary caregiver for up to 8 TO 12 children in the classroom
Any other duties assigned by the director or supervisor
