Introduction:
We are seeking a results-driven .NET Developer to design, build, and maintain web and Windows-based applications in a high-security federal environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working across the full software development lifecycle, utilizing modern Microsoft technologies to develop and enhance business-critical systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, a passion for continuous learning, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable code in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Utilize established development tools, best practices, and frameworks, including Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Design, code, and test new software applications for web and desktop environments
Enhance and maintain existing applications by analyzing business needs and implementing improvements
Develop and administer databases, including SQL scripting and stored procedures
Create and deliver data-driven reports to support decision-making processes
Identify and correct software defects to improve system performance and reliability
Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into development processes
Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation to support system sustainment and knowledge transfer
Collaborate with technical teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional software solutions
Location and Travel Details:
This is an onsite position out of the Washington D.C. Area with travel as needed.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 4 years of experience in .NET software development
Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
Experience with automated testing and DevOps Pipeline integration
Solid understanding of software development best practices, including secure coding and documentation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Nice To Have:
Experience working in federal government or secure environments
Experience with modern DevSecOps tools and Agile development methodologies Including Scrum and Kanban
Familiarity with SharePoint, Power Platform or Salesforce Integration
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, MVC frameworks, or cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
Exposure to data visualization tools or enterprise reporting platforms
