Riverside Spline & Gear, a leading producer of world class precision gearing, is looking for another highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to add to its team of professionals. We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Operator with a minimum of 5 years of programming and set up of Mazak lathes. We are a job shop with all programming done at the machine on similar type parts. The position is a day position in a clean modern shop with a great team environment. Responsibilities & Job Requirements:
Programming and set-up of Mazak Lathe
Programming and set-up of Vertical Turret Lathe
Operate machine tools to produce precision parts
Read and understand customer supplied blueprints
Ability to indicate diameters and faces using dial indicator
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments
Inspect part as needed to assure machine is producing good parts
Follow written procedures, policies and instructions
Ability to work 10 hour shifts
Ability to lift 15-20 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
5 years minimum experience in programming and set up of Mazak Lathes/ Mazatrol Conversational Programming
Strong knowledge of G-Codes
Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
Working knowledge of insert tooling geometry
Working knowledge of speed and feeds based on material type and hardness
Working knowledge of basic shop floor inspection gages (dial indicator, bore gage, micrometer)
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
