Job Summary:

We are seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and provide support to orthodontists in a dental setting. The Ortho Assistant will be responsible for assisting with orthodontic procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking patient X-rays, and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Certification or training as an Orthodontic Assistant

- X-ray certification preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organizational abilities

- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions

Responsibilities:

- Assist orthodontists with procedures and treatments

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments

- Take and develop patient X-rays

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of orthodontic equipment and instruments

- Sterilize instruments and tools following proper protocols

- Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices

- Update and maintain patient records accurately

- Schedule follow-up appointments and provide appointment reminders

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient care
