Who we are looking for:
Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Customer Service Representative to be based out of Hebron, OH. Reporting to Customer Service Supervisor, this person will be responsible for improving and assisting in various customer service responsibilities and data entry aspects.
What you’ll do:
Adherence to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules is paramount
Demonstrates Atkore Core Behaviors – Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence
Handle all aspects of customer service, including acknowledging, entering, tracking and expediting orders and releasing material for shipment
Razor liaison between manufacturing, purchasing and sales
Process customer and account source document orders
Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
Resolve discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
Heavy communication (via email and telephone) with customer base to handle orders, inquiries, and follow up in a prompt and professional manner
Liaise and collaborate with Order Entry, Sales, Logistics Staff, Management and outside processors as needed
Interact with internal departments and outside processors as needed
Responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date and useable information in our system
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, and environmental
Assist on projects as needed
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
All duties as instructed by supervision
What you’ll bring:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Degree or continued education in business administration or relevant office duties a plus
Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer service
Must be self-motivated, resilient, well spoken, persuasive, and comfortable with speaking to customers, result driven, persistent and action oriented
Previous experience in order entry / customer service is ideal
Organization, Typing, Data Entry Skills
AS-400 and JDE experience would be a plus
Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Decision Making, Independence and Problem-Solving Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Basic computer software and hardware knowledge; faxing, printers, internet, etc.
Excellent communication skills
On time, reliable, hands on, self-motivated - to take charge/pride in their own work
Must possess an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player and have strong work ethic
Within 3 months, you’ll:
Complete required training
Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role
Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations
Within 6 months, you’ll:
Continue with a detailed classroom and side by side training with your peers
Able to process daily tasks to ensure familiarity with training
Respond to customer emails while assisting in daily coverage
Within 12 months, you’ll:
Own daily activities and responsibilities that cover the business
Be fully trained and functional in your position
Be fully fluent in Atkore core values and business system to provide first class customer service

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $44,880 - $61,710. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
