Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies**

Nature of Work
The fundamental reason this position exists is to learn and perform basic entry-level technical work involving the installation and maintenance of County IT-related systems and equipment involving three general categories:
1) Systems software and applications (SW).
2) Network hardware and infrastructure (HW).
3) Telecommunications systems and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Network/Infrastructure: Must have an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) OR at least two (2) years of experience in technology including computer maintenance/ support, networking, server administration, installing, maintenance, and servicing of telecommunications equipment, structured cabling, and fiber optics and infrastructure Qualified experience may substitute for the required education.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Special Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who is open to learning, growing, and evolving. We are willing to train and teach self-starters who are inquisitive and passionate about information technology. There are complexities associated with our work, but engineers and specialists will work beside you as team members to always complete the mission. Must be willing to work nights or weekends as required. Must be able to work from home using assigned IT equipment, when on-call, and must carry and respond to a cell phone. Must have a valid driver’s license. Applicants will be required to submit to a thorough background investigation prior to employment.
