Accountant

An East Texas Roofing company is seeking an accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will enjoy day to day accounting within a tight knit, value driven culture and will utilize their accounting experience for A/P, A/R, and calculating commissions for the sales employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage A/P and A/R processes

Calculate and process sales team commissions accurately and timely

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies

Prepare financial reports as needed

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in A/P and A/R

Knowledge of basic accounting functions

Proficiency in QuickBooks

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Acceptable: Associate's degree in Accounting

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
