We are hiring Summer Interns!

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join the Risk Management and Review team. This role will involve participating in the planning and testing of internal controls related to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The intern will assist management with quarterly and annual certifications on the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. This position is from June-August.

What you'll brew:

Participate in walkthroughs with external auditors and various Accounting/Finance teams to update narratives and process flows for internal controls.

In coordination with team members, act as the liaison with external auditors, accounting, and other related departments to facilitate the walkthrough and testing phases of the external audits of the financial statements.

Research best practices and accounting guidance to help management with recommendations for more effective and efficient internal control procedures.

Prepare work papers to ensure risks are accurately identified, control objectives are defined, effective audit steps are documented, and appropriate documentation is maintained (i.e., testing performed, issues identified, etc.).

Utilize data analytics in all phases of the audit process.

Participate in ad hoc projects at the request of Senior Management.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay range for this role if hired is $18 - $20 per hour. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
