As a Robotic Controls Engineer, you will part of a talented team that supports the nuclear field service product lines. In this role, you’ll help to create and maintain Non-Destructive Testing and robotic delivery systems for our internal and external nuclear customers. We need electrical/software system experts to develop, design, and diagnose our systems to continuously improve performance and robustness. Ideal candidates have both a software and electrical background.
You will report to the Manager of Inspection Technology and be located at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This position is eligible for a mobile working arrangement and is expected to be on-site 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Take abstract concepts and ideas to effectively define, implement and drive project/tasks to successful on-time completion.
Understand and follow the design process.
Create project/task time estimates, budgets, and schedules
Coordinate/communicate/cooperation with other engineers to ensure success of a project.
Assist in the development and implementation of unit testing of code using simulation tools and actual hardware.
Electrical hardware design, follow fabrication, testing, training, and field use.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical/Computer/Software/Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field/experience.
3+ years of experience in complex development electrical/software environments
Experience creating, reading, and understanding electrical schematics
Experience writing robust, efficient, and safe code.
Experience with signal processing algorithm development and implementation.
Communicating with internal and external system operators to troubleshoot issues in-person or over email, phone, video chat, etc.
Understanding motion control theory/application programming.
Software development using Visual Studio (C/C++/C#) for Windows 10
Desirable SKILLS
Graphical User Interface (GUI) development in using Win32 API, MFC, Java or WinForms.
Embedded programming including FPGA development
3D data modeling using OpenGL
Software development in a Linux environment.
