Description

As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of work to each technician, monitoring timely completion in work process and ensuring that each item on the repair order has been thoroughly completed before returning the vehicle to the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assign work to technicians according to their skill level and have work outlined on repair order performed at the time promised to the customer

Follow-up on the work in progress, inform service advisors ahead of time if time promised to customer cannot be kept and advise shop foreman if assistance becomes necessary

Prepare to give accurate estimates of time of completion for each repair order written and to advise if vehicle is to be completed before or after original estimate

Maintain shop capacity control and advise service advisors of capacity status throughout the day

Receive original and duplicate copies of all repair orders from service advisor to record work in DMS

Receive hard copy of repair order from technician when work is completed and give to service advisor

Maintain housekeeping standards in the shop, technicians' bays and service parking lot

Maintain service tools and equipment and report to service manager if repairs or replacements are needed

Other duties assigned, if needed

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent

1-3 months of related experience and/or training on dispatching repair orders

Ability to plan and control, product knowledge and administrative skills

Critical thinking skills and professional judgment

Outgoing, upbeat personality with excellent interpersonal skill

Reliable transportation and attendance

Valid driver's license
