Job Brief:

The Medical-Surgical Nurse is critical in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction. The Medical-Surgical Nurse will work closely with physicians, other nurses, and support staff to ensure patients receive the best possible care.

Job Duties:

Assessing and monitoring patient conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.

Documenting patient care and progress in electronic medical records.

Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate interventions as needed.

Maintaining a clean and safe patient care environment.

Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. Requirements

Qualifications:

Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact/multistate license.

Current ACLS & BLS/CPR certifications are required.

Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and some holidays.

Two years of experience is preferred.

Adaptable and strong critical thinker.

Strong interpersonal and verbal communicator. Benefits:
