Electrician Journeyman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret schematics, work with various hand and power tools, and troubleshoot electrical issues. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship on construction sites and industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local codes and regulations.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical components.

- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.

- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments, including low voltage applications.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety practices.

- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other related equipment.

- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
