Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and variance analysis, along with strong technical proficiency in Excel and financial systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities, and eager to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities -

Prepare journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes, and financial statements

Conduct variance analysis for income statements and balance sheets, including international accounts

Collaborate with Financial Accounting leadership to ensure GAAP compliance and proper accounting interpretations

Maintain and update internal process documentation for accounting policies and procedures

Identify and implement automation opportunities, leveraging technology to streamline processes

Prepare data and supporting schedules for financial statements, tax filings, and audit requests

Maintain accurate inventory records, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring proper valuation

Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and analysis

Conduct special projects, ad hoc reporting, and financial analysis as needed

Work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations

Qualifications -

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred)

5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or auditing

Proven experience in general ledger responsibilities and financial reporting

Technical Skills:

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, Power Pivot)

Experience with Oracle, Hyperion SmartView, BlackLine, SAP, Alteryx, or Salesforce is a plus

Other Skills:

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills

Ability to work collaboratively across finance and other departments

Excellent attention to detail and initiative in research and process improvements

Effective communication skills for reporting and stakeholder collaboration
