IMB - Chart Industries specializes in the design and manufacture of shell and tube heat exchangers for the most critical processes/services in the refining, petrochemical, fertilizer and offshore industries fabricated in a range of material types ranging from standard carbon steel to the more exotic type of high alloy and titanium.

To enhance our staff, we’re looking for a:

JUNIOR WELDING ENGINEER

The colleague will report to the Welding Manager, in the Quality team, and will be supported in a professional growth path aimed at transferring skills useful for having autonomy in the role. We are looking for recent graduates with excellent interpersonal skills, management of complexity and change, passion and desire to grow.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Prepare welding technical documentation (WPS, PQR, procedures) for each project in accordance with applicable ASME / EN codes and contract specifications.

Prepare welder qualifications (WPQ) and maintain valid certification.

Collaborate with design and production teams in the development of job orders.

Collaborate with the quality team to resolve any welding-related issues and manage nonconformities.

Select dedicated filler materials for each job order.

Monitor the performance of welding processes and implement continuous improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements and preferred qualifications...

The ideal candidate has recently completed a course of study in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, has a strong interest in mechanics, wants to acquire skills in the industrial field, knows English and wishes to specialize in the field of welding and boilers.

Industrial technician diploma or degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering or related field.

Knowledge of international codes such as ASME, ISO, etc.

Professional knowledge of English.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office package and 2D modeling software.

Possession of international welding certification (IWE/IWT) is considered a plus.
