Software Engineer

The Software Engineer, under the direction of the CDO (Chief Digital Officer) will document, analyze and review software requirements for the software development team responsible for development, test, installation, customer interface and Operations and Maintenance activities for several applications supporting the classification of data and documents. The Software Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with multiple stakeholders to assess and understand the requirements to ensure that user stories are consistent and applicable across all products.

What you will do:

Elicit requirements from users and existing documentation sources

Manage, validate and verify requirements, capturing detailed descriptions of user needs and product functionality

Ensure the project team has clear, consistent and testable requirements documented in user stories and completion criteria.

Reconcile conflicts; decompose high-level information into the appropriate level of detail for team members

Participate in peer reviews of requirements documentation.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Ability to develop function and test specifications for software development.

Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions.

Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in software development.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1)
