Utility Locator

Job Description

We are seeking a Utility Locator to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.

Responsibilities:

Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems

Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location

Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion

Load and unload equipment and materials

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years Previous experience in underground utility locating

Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

Ability to read and understand property plans

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Ability to handle physical workload

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Eighteen years of age or older.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.

Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 25 lbs or lifting in excess of 75 lbs with tool aids.

Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
