Electrical Engineering Project Leader
A leading equipment manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineering Project Leader to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on technical expertise in the design, development, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of complex packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design and layout of packaging equipment, including schematics, panel layouts, and bill of materials.
Develop and implement control programs for PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
Support machine assembly, startup, and commissioning at customer sites.
Conduct machine testing, troubleshooting, and certification for customer acceptance.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure design intent is understood and executed effectively.
Maintain accurate electrical documentation and support continuous improvement efforts.
Assist with vendor communications, parts setup in ERP systems, and customer service inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of experience with PLC/HMI programming and motion control.
Experience with packaging equipment and electrical design is preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel as needed and support trade shows as a technical resource.
