Senior Marine Structural Engineer / Project Manager

Savannah, GA Full-Time Hybrid Flexibility Available

A globally recognized engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Marine Structural Engineer / Project Manager to join its growing team in Savannah, GA. This is a high-impact, senior-level role working on complex waterfront infrastructure projects—offering both technical leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

You’ll be involved in major port and marine development programs across the Southeast, with the chance to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in coastal, marine, and transportation engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead structural design and analysis of waterfront and marine structures, including piers, wharves, bulkheads, and foundations

Oversee and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects ranging from $5M to $150M in construction value

Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering team growth and technical excellence

Serve as a technical reviewer for plans, specifications, calculations, and QA/QC processes

Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution

Support proposal development and help build long-term client relationships

Represent the firm in internal and external technical committees, staying active in the industry

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural preferred)

PE license required; ability to obtain Georgia PE within 6 months

SE license highly desirable

15+ years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on marine or waterfront projects

Advanced knowledge of materials such as concrete, steel, and timber in marine environments

Proficiency in analysis/design software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)

Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging directly with clients and project stakeholders
