Marine Structural Engineer – Mid-Level
Savannah, GA Full-Time Marine & Waterfront Infrastructure
An industry-leading civil and marine engineering consultancy is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer to join its team in Savannah, GA. This is a mid-level opportunity for professionals with 6–10 years’ experience in the design, analysis, and delivery of marine and waterfront structures. The successful candidate will be involved in major port development initiatives and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on impactful waterfront infrastructure projects across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct structural analysis and design for piers, wharves, bulkheads, mooring systems, and other marine structures
Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver cohesive project solutions
Prepare calculations, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation
Perform site inspections and assess structural conditions
Apply industry codes and standards while utilizing leading structural analysis software
Contribute to project delivery within timeline, budget, and quality parameters
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
6–10 years’ structural experience, including at least 3 in waterfront/marine engineering
PE license required (or ability to obtain Georgia PE within 6 months)
Proficiency in structural software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)
Strong knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., AISC, ACI, API)
Excellent communication and project coordination skills
