As part of this strategic growth, we are currently looking for a Designer to join one of our major clients in the renewable energy sector, contributing to innovative and impactful projects.

Context:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive electrical design engineer to join

our team, specializing in High Voltage (HV). This role involves a combination

of technical expertise, project execution, and customer engagement!

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting system studies and preparing detailed study reports.

Developing technical specifications for high voltage equipment.

Participating in and witnessing equipment testing to ensure compliance with specifications.

Taking technical ownership within your areas of expertise.

Mentoring and providing guidance to peers and junior engineers.

Engaging with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Contributing to the development and industrialization of engineering processes, tools, and design guidelines.

Supporting innovation in HVDC technology, particularly in control and protection systems, system analysis techniques, and study tool development.

Representing the organization in external forums by publishing technical papers and participating in industry groups such as CIGRE, IEC, or IEEE.

Ensuring adherence to company policies and the corporate Code of Conduct.

Actively promoting and following health and safety practices, including risk awareness, safe behavior, and participation in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) training.

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with coursework in power systems and power electronics.

Minimum of 5 years of HV electrical design experience

Knowledge of system tools like PSCAD, AutoCad, Micro Station

Insulation coordination and main equipment characteristics for HVDC

A general understanding of the characteristics of HVDC Valves and their control & protection systems.
