Digital Operator

Working with Christian publishers, Bethany Press provides solutions for book production, printing, binding, and warehousing. We produce millions of life-changing books and we are looking for self-managed, self-motivated, creators who want to be a part of this accelerating business. This Digital Operator position will work in our digital print facility run by Bethany Press of Minnesota inside Anchor Distributors' facility in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.

JOB TITLE: Digital Book Print Operator - Full time

STATUS: Regular, Fulltime (40 hours), hourly

HOURS: 8:00am - 5:00pm depending on workload (Monday - Friday, possible Saturdays)

RATE: $19.00 - $21.00 an hour

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:

Operation of all digital equipment in a high-volume digital print & bind environment.

Set up and fine tuning of equipment by adjusting control to accommodate job specifications.

Perform general maintenance of all machines in digital print area

Inspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacement

Constantly monitor quality and productivity of finished product to meet standards

Assist in training and cross training of new operators & helpers

Conduct inventory control and management

Shipping management of product

Be thoroughly familiar with all areas of job finishing including folding, stitching, perfect binding.

Process jobs using digital workflow software

Aid the Digital Lead with production workflow

IDEAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Generally, works 40 hours, willingly works overtime as necessary

Be self-motivated, self-managed is a must

Adobe Acrobat Pro experience is a plus

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs.

Ability to stand for entire production shift plus crouch, crawl, pull, reach & endure repetitive motions

The estimated starting salary pay range for this role is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. This good faith estimate is base upon BPI's typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee's qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.

Full-time benefit-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:
