SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Production Specialist II!
Job Title: Operator II/Production Specialist II
Job Location: Scarborough, ME
Job Type: Contract (Temp to Hire)
Pay: $25.50 to $28.06/hr. depending on Shift
Shift Structure: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday
2nd Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday
40 hours per week
The role of the Production Specialist II: A Production Operator works with computer operated machinery and is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot exceptions on the assigned machine.
Adheres to production schedule for the automatic assembly of components, devices and/or the final product
Meets site goals for product manufacture and training requirements
Interacts with Maintenance Technicians to ensure that equipment is in optimal working order
Performs routine work in all production areas with limited supervision
Ensures quality of product through the use of standard operating procedures, templates, training and supervision, and good judgment
Provides input for enhancing efficiencies and modifying/creating SOPs to ensure accuracy/quality or improve productivity
Performs and executes SAP transactions for production Work Orders.
May be subject to call back or extended hours as required
About the Production Specialist II:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of GMP
Prior Machine Operation experience in a Manufacturing Environment
1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and/or understanding of medical device manufacturing preferred
Maintenance on machinery preferred
Computer knowledge
Follow directions and complete batch records
