Job Description

CNC Machinist & Programmer, Aerospace, Growing Company

Responsibilities Include

Shall adhere to all safety requirements as posted on the job safety card.

Shall consistently follow all applicable work instructions.

Shall receive instruction and daily work assignments from the Tool Room Engineering Manager.

Analyze drawings and solid models of precision parts to determine the most efficient sequence of operations required for machining.

Design fixtures and tooling necessary for production and toolroom.

3D solid modeling and surface modeling.

Observes first article production and inspection to verify process is followed and results are conforming.

Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure CMM programs measure and record all customer requirements.

Shall maintain all required inspection records, files, and vouchers, where accuracy is paramount.

Shall maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition, and keep noise level to a minimum.

Shall perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Advanced machining technology coursework, with 5+ years' experience in similar field is preferred.

Strong knowledge and experience of Solidworks and Mastercam software is required.

Extensive knowledge of fixture design and machining principles pertaining to CNC machines is essential for this position.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of materials and their machining characteristics.

Good understanding of GD&T.

Strong communication skills.

Candidate should be respectful and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
