A market-leading manufacturer offering new opportunities in Cache County, Utah is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to assist with the quest to provide the highest quality compressor solutions. Responsibilities:
• Work closely with project, R&D, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to design new products and custom solutions based on provided requirements and specifications.
• Create detailed P&ID’s and support design documentation.
• Maintain bills of materials and bills of operations in ERP.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and testing to ensure proper design.
• Ensure design feasibility for manufacturing, service, and logistics.
• Develop risk assessments for new product lifecycle implementation.
• Review and improve existing designs to enhance performance with budget conscious decisions.
• Research industry regulations and standards to implement in design solutions.
• Maintain and support engineering change orders.
• Support and develop design processes to comply with ISO 9001:2015.
• Prioritize tasks throughout multiple job responsibilities.
• Develop and test new products to bring to industry.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering required
• 2 years related industry experience
• Must have experience working in a team environment
• Must show initiative to learn and be a self-starter, bringing ideas to the team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize, within high-paced environment
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Clear understanding of design and manufacturing processes
• Experience creating bills of materials required
• Technical documentation creation and review required
• Preferred experience working under ISO9001
• 2D/3D modeling software and FEA experience preferred
• Inventory management software experience preferred
• Proven self-starter with a strong initiative to drive designs to completion
