At the heart of it, the worship ministry at Sugar Creek Baptist seeks to serve the church's mission to love and lead all people to life change in Christ." The Worship Leader/Production Associate will report to the Associate Worship Pastor and serve the Sugar Creek campus by leading worship as needed and liaising between the ministry's "worship" and "production" sides.

While this person does not supervise the production team, they will ensure that stage set-ups, designs, and AVL needs are accomplished with the production team.

This person will also be the conduit to the Communications department for any Worship Ministry needs related to video shoots, graphic design, and other communications needs.

This person should be a team player and serve alongside others in the worship ministry to help accomplish overall ministry goals.

On the production side, this person should have basic knowledge of AVL and stage layout and design to communicate effectively with the production team.

Not simply a musician, this person should have the heart of a pastor and worshipper who cares for others and invites them into worship.

LOCATION & DEMOGRAPHIC Sugar Creek Baptist Church's original campus is in Sugar Land, TX.

Sugar Land is just southwest of Houston, Texas, and is part of the Houston metropolitan area.

POSITION PROFILE ASSOCIATE FOR THE WORSHIP TEAM TheAssociatereports to theWorship Team Leaderand is responsible for coordinating the churchsworship-relatedactivities.

This person will be expected to support the ministries and ministers of the church in a spirit of teamwork and offer their time, skills, and gift sets as they apply to the ongoing welfare, ministry, and edification of the church.

This is afull-timeposition of 40 hours per week and isan Exemptposition.

This is a Specific Campus position.

This position qualifies as a Ministerial exception.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS A WORSHIP LEADER Plan all worship services assigned by the Worship Pastor.Fill in instrumentally as needed in the absence of rhythm players.Research and listen for new worship songs to be incorporated into the worship services.Coordinate and collaborate with worship leaders in writing new worship songs to be used in Sugar Creeks worship services.Oversee stage and platform design as assigned by the Worship Pastor.Responsible for research of creative elements (lighting/video/graphic elements) to enhance worship.Coordinate with the Tech and Communications Division for all lighting and video/graphic design for Worship Events and modern worship services.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN ASSOCIATE Responsible for maintaining of ministry budget.Assist the Worship Pastor in the administration of special programs and productions.Responsible for calendaring all events pertaining to your area of ministry.Assist the Worship Pastor and Worship Staff in community outreach programs and events.Assist the Instrumental Director in all stage setup, strike, and design needs.Assist the Musical Director in the recruitment and developmental excellence of paid and non-paid rhythm players.Be the Worship Staff Liaison to Communications Social Media Director, overseeing external and internal social media content.Be the Worship Staff liaison to the Communications Team, overseeing video production for all global worship ministry videos, worship devotions, and graphic content.Assisting in worship leadership as needed and requested by the Student Ministry and assigned by the Worship Pastor.Assist, collaborate with staff, and coordinate any recording projects undertaken by the Worship Ministry as assigned by the Worship Pastor.Assist the Worship Pastor in the coordination and implementation of the vision for Sugar Creek Worship.
